What about music when Barcoda aren't playing? We can play cd's or ipods through our PA system to fill the gaps when we are taking a break. We can also help you organise a disco to keep you dancing while Barcoda take a break. How far will Barcoda travel? Barcoda Party Band will travel anywhere in the uk and abroad for your special event. How long do you play for? Depending on the function/event Barcoda Party Band will play anything from 90 minutes up to 4 hours. Are we able to see you play before we book you? Yes you can see us play before you book! Barcoda Party Band perform up to four showcase events a year. So just get in touch and we will let you know when they are happening. We do however have high quality video footage of Barcoda playing live which will hopefully help to sort out this important part of booking a band. Yes we have public liability insurance, and all our moveable electrical equipment is (Portable Appliance Tested) PAT tested. All our equipment is insured against accidental damage & theft, but damage caused through unruly behaviour may be charged to the client. What volume do Barcoda play at ?! Barcoda Party Band will play as quietly or as loudly as you want us to! We are used to playing in many different environments such as Halls, Barns, Marquees and even in the open air, either way it will sound amazing! What do Barcoda wear? All the members of Barcoda Party Band generally wear party style clothing to enhance the party feel. Although when necessary we will dress more formally. How much does it cost to book Barcoda? Every party /event is different, not only in the distance Barcoda Party Band have to travel to the event, but how far we have to carry all the equipment when we arrive and set up, some people require us to play for an hour and a half some for 2-3 hours. At weddings for example we normally have to set up and do our sound check before the reception starts, and then wait around for a considerable time before we are due to perform. Please just contact us through the contact page on the website or via any of the phone details given, we will then ring you and discuss your requirements and give you an accurate quote. Will we need to pay a deposit? Barcoda Party Band require a 10% non refundable payment of the total fee when you sign the contract,this gurantees that we will hold this date for you, then a month before the event we take another 40% of the total fee again non refundable. And the remaining 50%balance needs to be paid three days before the event by internet banking or cheque. What equipment do Barcoda supply? Barcoda use a state of the art 3K Martin Audio PA system, considered the Rolls Royce of PA's in the sound world, it will comfortably service audiences of up to 500 and anything below that of course. We also supply lighting to illuminate the band,we can also help you with lighting for the dance floor and beyond for a small extra charge and other special requirements you may have. NB. Smoke machines can only be used where no smoke detectors are fitted. Barcoda have a few requests when playing at an event or function The band require a room or private area to change in and rest in large enough for up to 6 people. Barcoda Party Band need a stage or floor area of (4.5m x 3m) to set up and perform in. We need a safe reliable supply of electricity, with at least three to four 13amp mains sockets, if we are performing inside. Or a generator capable of supplying a single phase supply with 30amps at 240volts (please contact us if you have any questions about electrical supply). Barcoda Party Band politely request a hot or cold main course meal for each member of the band and the sound engineer, and soft drinks for the duration of the performance. |
